Hey folks, here is an update on my summer season in Cumbria where I’ve been taking a bit of time out foraging and exploring. The photos are from the most wonderful garden centre I have ever been to, it is a small family run business, please do go and visit if you are in the Lake District area, they are Abi & Tom’s Garden Plants, a bit off the beaten track, in Halecat. Set in the most amazing surroundings, they have carved a little niche into the landscape and filled it with a delightful selection of beautiful plants and flowers, it was a very inpsipiring visit.  Credit for the photographs is to my lovely sister-in-law, Ania, (as I was far too distracted running from one flowerbed to the next to have the presence of mind to take photos).

As you may know from my YouTube I’m having a small sabbatical from crafting to catch my breath, and catch up on a few jobs at home, and trying to devote some time to drawing and painting practice. So far, I don’t seem to have done very much at all, I guess I really needed to rest, and it is nice not to have deadlines, I think it was a good decision to change my work style a little. So for those of you who don’t know, I am no longer doing custom orders on my journals, but the good news is that I am indeed continuing to make journals, though they will be sold as seen, and not tweaked. Also I am toying with the idea of time slots, being available to purchase, just one at a time, and then a client could choose from the list of concept journals which one they would like making. This is what I think will be best for my creativity for the time being. Also I would like to spend some time on some smaller books and other items to stock my shop with, which I hope will be better for folks not wanting a large journal.

So I hope to have something to show you soon, though I am not working on anything in particular, so don’t get too excited! Perhaps some little notebooks? I am adding an eco-dyed paper collection to the shop today, called “Leaf Litter” which I hope you will enjoy. Thankyou for visiting Lovelies, hope to see/speak to you soon, love Jibid x
